Hi all,

I'm just starting to plan all the mods ;)

What's a good panel filter..? and where's the cheapest place to get it from?

probably better off with an induction kit but for a good one your looking at at least 3 times the price of a green filter
got my panel filter from JBS for around the 50 mark
 
It depends on your budget to a certain extent. We ran our LCR with over 270bhp on just a K&N Panel filter, we can do a Pipercross one for £28+VAT and free delivery. Otherwise if you wanted an induction kit we could do a Neuspeed or a BMC for you.
 
How much is the BMC?? is it better than say a green dynatwist or a viper for example?

not as supplied no. its ready to go.
It is a coated filter tho, but is well proven to be MAF friendly.

I would alwayd choose cotton gauze over foam filters personally.... for longeveity. Foam I personally class as disposable, but they're also generally cheaper things in the first place.

Good mod as I said, was something like a green panel filter combined with larger intake flexi pipe into airbox. Not bling, but effective for more airflow.

I bought the green panel from Badger 5 a few months back, cheers guys, and haven't looked back. I was worried about warranty so didn't want to remove my air box, its a great compromise.

Small grey plastic pipe up engine bay on the Off side against the wing, this can be changed for a 70-80mm diameter flexi pipe like this

Where did you get the pipe Steve? I had some other feeds on my old car but they were card board and rotted like anything

Bill supplied it although the black stuff in the picture rusts, Bill does some other plastic coated stuff that is better IIRC.

I ripped out the standard plastic feed and then it's up to you
A - Squash the new pipe into entry hole in airbox
B - modify airbox opening slightly with something like a dremmel to slightly enlarge it

But I didn;t modify mine because I switched to a BMC induction kit......then RAM AIR induction kit......then back to the Airbox......then sold the car :cartman:

when you had the LCR who REVO'd it? I'm going to get mine done in a month or so, if I ever get it back!
