Hi there,

I'm new to LCR ownership but have had a few performance cars in my time and have always done my own servicing. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the servicing intervals and what needs to be changed when? I've searched but have had no joy.

Cheers

Ben

Just bought my LCR and it needs a service next month. Looking at the history this will be its 9th service at 82k. Cars only 7 years old so the previous owner must have been keen to get it serviced!

What type of service will i be looking at? just trying to get an idea of costs.

I've got a receipt at 67k for the timing belt being changed and the service book makes referrence to a "toothed belt" change at 67k, is this basically the cambelt? Cant see any referrence to the water pump being changed so may need this looking at. Is there any way of checking this myself?

Otherwise i'm going to have to find somewhere decent and trustworthy in the North West region to have a look at it and get it serviced. Not bothered about using SEAT dealers and would rather use an independant VAG specialist. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Cheers

Normally if they've done the cam belt then they should have done the wate pump aswell, the toothed belt could be the fan belt.
Probabley best to do oil, filters and plugs to start with.

I saw the the 'toothed belt' reference in my service book and i'm pretty sure it means the timing belt, as its done in my book, at the correct mileage. Can anyone else clarify this.
