So this is how I bought her.
05' reg
115k miles (hmm)
2 owners from new and FSH and a good price.

The car came with a milltek cat back and a k&n filter, by the looks of it, it came off a lawnmower?
It's also lowered 40mm.

First thing was first, spacers.
15mm rear
10mm front

It makes a good difference looks wise, the pictures don't do it justice

Then I bought this magnex 3" downpipe and de-cat to make it a full system.
Fun job that was!

Made a nice gurgle after that, not loud at all though.
I gave the engine bay a good clean. And I machine polished and detailed it inside and out. A coat of auto finesse to finish it off for ultimate beading!

My plan is to get the neuspeed induction lit after seeing graph results tested on all induction kits for the BAM but I'll wait and see what santa says.

Haven't been able to do much with the car due to this weather!
Makes for a interesting drive though!
Sunny scotland :)

Thank you big lee, I think the same, there ain't much you can do to the Leon's to make them look any better in my opinion.
Stunning cars

Thanks mate, I bought a black one a few months back but I was annoyed with myself whenever I seen a red one so sold it and got this! Pretty sad I know but had to be done.
Hope you manage to find a nice one for yourself! They're great cars

If any of you are like me, and too skint to buy parts this month,
Try this 3D tuning app, pretty good but it stalls all the time!

Cars very nice mate. One small mod you can do to tidy the rear up is a fabia rear wiper arm, nice and cheap and makes the back end a bit nicer.

The MK1's look so much better with spacers.

Thanks guys, I agree and the rear wiper atm, definetly on my to do list!
Liamdaffern, I've not noticed the car tramlining mate, it may just be but I feel the steering is slightly lighter, think 15mm spacers on the front will be too much though.
Thank you vwp6n, it was freezing down there Eh?

Got bored today and thought I'd try the scraping off old laquer, rub down with wet n dry and a laquer. Conditions weren't great for doing it and obviously there want anything I could do about the chipped parts.
They look ok for a quick clean up until I can get them done properly in the summer time

Calipers are looking good mate they will be fine. This weather is poor at the moment had to dodge a lot of tree branches on the way to work this morning.

Thanks :) give your brakes a bash with what I did mate, there's a sticky thread somewhere on here mate and yeah the weathers rubbish, I'm the same, branch dodging on the way to work! I have a project golf that I'm kind of trying to get stuck into so just doing little odds and ends on the leon at the moment.
Had her on the road last year but time to turn it into a fast road/track car I think. Did a lot of shows last year and try got boring so don't want to make it a show car.

Also, first plan for the leon, is get that magnex DP and de-cat off and find myself a milltek one. The flanges are meant to be the same but there not, had nothing but bother with it and don't want to weld them together so that'll stall plans for the golf.

Your golf would make a great track weapon also looking mint in the first pic.Cleaner than some new cars i see out and about, most of them must be company cars!Either that or there just plain lazy :D

Love the MK2 golf. Personally I would keep it as a show car, but would always be temped to stick a turbo'd lump in it.

Yeah the golf is clean enough, I bought it for 1k and did it up a bit last winter but thought, it'll cost more to make it a show car, need respray etc and the shows did get boring but I suppose I could still take it there to show track prepared but still keep the original look. I know what u mean kebab, people don't look after cars, makes me sick seeing brand new cars treated so bad!
