So I have been through two sets of different led side light builbs, 1st set the resisters weren't upto the slandered and the second ones I have a years warranty with and I've been through roughly 16 builbs, so im wondering now my warranty is up what builbs should I get?
Which ones do you guys have?
Who was cree? And what difference they make?
I have my eye on some cree ones but I feel there to long for outter builbs but any help will be great
Cheers

I've got CREE LED's fitted. The difference is that the LED chips are a lot smaller than normal SMD LED's. They also emit a lot more light, easily double.

Here you go:-

CREE in the rear lights too (one tiny CREE LED per bulb!)

They look good, where abouts did you get them from?

Horizon LED's stock both types - Although some ebay sellers have the same bulbs for a fair bit cheaper. I got the rears from Horizon then saw the front sidelights for a tenner less on ebay...

I get a bulb error with the rear ones for some reason - Going to turn off bulb warnings with VCDS as some point.

Could by a resister for the builb and I'm not sure you can turn the canbus off at all I think a few people have tried on here but not got much of a result, I'm gonna have a look now

I've heard of people turning it off on VW's so it must be possible, but if not then yeah I'll get some resistors in there.

Do you by any chance know the difference between 3w Cree and 9w Cree?

It'll be the brightness, think it's the equivalent lumen output rather than the consumption though. My sidelights have five LED's and emit an equivalent of a 25w bulb.

I have just recieved my cree 501 sidelights and im very impressed with the bright white output, they were around a 5er from ebay! The ones I got were the 10 led bulbs but they do a 6 led bulb slighly cheaper!
