Keep getting a fault code p1039 so ive ordered a cam follower kit , rev r pcv and a second hand hpfp as the plastic sensor at the top is snapped

A second hand cupra back box as the baffles are loose in the original exhaust

Also some br7 iridium plugs for now


Want it to be in perfect health before i have a fettle

There hasn’t been any changes to it recently, it’s been abit of a garage ornament especially with the lock down malarkey.

What are your plans for the new Mk2 then?

For now stage 1 with precat removal and induction the car has 125k on so i dont want to over stress it

Maybe some visual mods , it's more a second car

Would like to go 2+ eventually

Looks tidy. With its age I would recommend checking out the rear axle, ive just had mine off and powder coated, it was saved just in time. The garage I got to has seen a few in recent times that have rotted through and needed replacing!

Il be underneath her Saturday changing the exhaust il have a mooch at the condition of the rear subframe then , i did get under it with a torch for a quick visual and didnt notice anything out the ordinary, ive saw your recent post yours looks well tidy now

New hpfp (second hand from cdl engine) cam follower kit , pcv , thermostat and 4 iridium plugs arrived today

Will be fitting all tomorrow

All above parts now fitted, old plugs hadnt been changed for a while looking at the state of them

Still getting the p1093 fault code so next step is to change the fuel filter when i service the car next week

Just bought a used downpipe as the heatshield is loose and creating an awful racket , so as soon as i got it home i smashed the precat out of it nice easy cheap mod which rtech recon it can free up another 10bhp on a stage 1 map

New downpipe with precat fitted and rattling has fully stopped

Done a oil and filter change with quantum 5/40

Also had to buy a new pre o2 sensor as well the one on it was a bodge i will upload a picture of tomorrow hopefully this cures my p1093 fault code

Confident ive sorted it now , ever since i did the o2 sensor its not returned

Took her to get the back box delete today , much needed! Gives of the perfect note coupled with the precat delete

Only downside is late this evening I've been getting EML lights for p1531 and p0010 pointing to the n205 valve so thatl be the next thing to get changed

Been running flawlessly still

Also car is being treated to a proper stage polish
