mine is registered may 05 with 21000 on the clock and seems to be getting better not just with the vpower shell diesel but as the miles have started going on although did have to have a new glow plug on number 3 cylinder last week but

Though I've never run mine to empty, the most miles I've ever managed on one tank of my standard FR is 530, but that usually is mostly town miles.

Doing a long run to Scotland soon, might fill it with V-Power, see if it makes a difference.

A remap is all a possibility to me too, but what sort of difference has it made to:

1) Your insurance (mine is insured for full business usage as it is a self financed job-need car)
2) Clutch / gearbox / general wear & tear - I need this thing to be reliable and last, it must put an extra strain on the engine?
3) Presuming it voids your warranty - will Seat refuse to look at anything in the period if they did discover it (I know Revo is meant to be undetectable)
4) Oil consumption? Mine seems to have a little bit of an appetite for oil. Also smoke?

Finally - £300? I was always told to budget £500 at least for Revo, is this overpriced?

A remapped PD 150 will do 60-100 in around 9 secs. A PD130/150 with a hybrid turbo will get at best 60-100 7.4secs which i achieved.

That sounds about right.

My old PD130 timed a 60-100 of around 10 seconds.

I did time 30-70 of 6 secs aswell.

After 80ish they run out of puff due to tiny turbo... The 150's will be better due to the larger turbo

got mine done last august time and it took it up to about 205bhp and about 315lb ft

apart from frying clutch (which i drive around anyway until i have some money to replace with uprated one)

best i've had tank wise is about 610, but i don't tend to get the long runs these days, so town driving about 430-450 til light on.

always run my car on premium diesel, (apart from the one time when the missus put in £20 of standard, which she wishes she had never done and won't do again now as she even commented on no power when she put foot down!).

Flew through MOT this month (first one) and thats with blueflame exhaust with race cat, Green Air Filter and remap installed, so cannot complain!

Enjoy the extra power, i know i do as well as the added knowledge that by having the extra power it has saved the wife from an accident umpteen times as she was able to floor it and get out of the way of stoopid truck drivers on roundabouts!!!

Hi chaps, does a remap cause it to smoke more? On a TDI.

Remap

I had mine done by Angel Tuning also about a month ago, well pleased.
Took it for a 1500 mile cruise around France, pulled like a train on the motorways still averaging 48 - 50 mpg. Wicked.
Quite a lot of smoke comes out the exhausts when you power down though, thats the only draw back. Seemed to me to be thowing out excess fuel.
Went back to Angel and had the fuel/air mixture adjusted slightly which fixed fixed the smoke, still trying to gauge if i have lost any power with the adjustment. Its hard to tell.
Is there anybody out there who has had a similar thing to me? Wots your thoughts?

mpg wise, how much does a full tank of diesel cost? and how many miles are people seeing once near the 200bhp mark, what tourqe figures are people getting once re mapped as well?

Mine was also done by Angel Tuning. It definately smoked more at first, altho at the moment doesn`t seem to smoke much. I`ve been saying to the girlfriend that i`m sure its not as fast now, she says its in my head! She thinks its rapid. So on that thought, I know where your coming from.
