We couldn't code it out in the end, as it was not accepting the codes, so we need to look at that another day.

We have just pulled the ABS fuse for now

Mapping is now commencing.

Car felt good up on the way to the mapper, upset a Nissan 350z while doing...erm, naughty speeds;) 70mph of course.

I'm not really sure what to expect from the results. We couldn't tell if the restriction last time was the turbo or the downpipe etc. Will soon find out though

Hoping for 280, but not sure the CR Turbo will flow this well:confused:
 
So the car is now finished, and I am seriously chuffed with the results :D

it was 285bhp with 287lbft at 1.3 bar and with water meth 290bhp.

it was flowing 250bhp on less than one bar on actuator pressure alone...normally the CR Turbo units have to be worked hard to flow, but this is working seamlessly

The little K03 hybrid was reaching it's limit, not to mention the rods also, due to the spikey nature of a KKK turbo we are playing it safe. The turbo "could" flow over 300bhp, but then it's squeaky bum time for if the engine stays in one piece.

Power is now awesome, right across the rev range up to the redline, it's still holding 1.2bar.

Bare in mind we had to push the turbo at 1.5/1.6 bar to get 264bhp.....it wasn't flowing. Now since with the SFS supersize TIP, 3" downpipe, decat and water meth it has gained almost 30bhp. The mapper reported that the supersize TIP really helped to unleash the power.

seriously seriously chuffed with the result as I wasn't expecting much more than 280bhp at the most.

I'm still in shock from the result mate, really wasn't expecting it at all:funk:

Rods are....next year, or until the block lets rip....
 
That's really cool. Considering I've got similar figures put out of a K04 turbo in my Ibiza which was a lot more hassle than hybrid K03 would been lol

It's out performed all of my expectations for sure!

I am picking her up tomorrow, excited much!! Then I am going to GTI International Sat and Sun and down the strip on Sun also, to get her very first 1/4 mile run from all the time I have owned her

Thanks mate, yes it has been a labour of love, but yesterday finally saw it all come to fruition

Went to GTI International yesterday. Now bare in mind that I have not done a 1/4 mile for at least 8 years when I had my MK3 Ibiza Cupra.

The weather was red hot all day (burnt) and made for some challenges on the strip, but fortunately water meth was helping here

I started off running a 14s 1/4 mile, then got into the 13's, and my very last run of the day pulled a 13.4 with a terminal speed of 108mph

To say I am chuffed is an understatement, especially as I am running nankangs (from the previous owner still on the car) and with a 40 profile tyre.

I was 0.1s slower than the fastest Seat of the day, so just missed out on getting the fastest seat prize

EPIC day though and thoroughly enjoyed:D

Roll on VW action and hopefully I can improve on my times

what clutch/flywheel setup are you running?? Still stock??

I don't know to be honest mate, it had a stage 3 clutch in when I sold it, but when I had bought it back off the guy, this clutch had went and another was fitted. What's in there now I have no idea. Could be standard for all I know, as the guy was such a bloody cowboy:(

Not sure what I am to do with the car now. I guess drive and enjoy her, not much else to bolt on or do, other than tidy bits and pieces up

got a few things to do, like install the brake ducts, tidy up the interior and attempt to make the plastic door skins

oh and here's the timing slip to prove I did a 13.4

time will tell if it is an uprated clutch or not running the power you are running, although your power delivery is quite linear without a massive spike which will help a lot.

with the power you are running i would highly recommend fitting a LSD.
i had the Quaife ATB fitted to my LCR when i had it a few years ago...... what a difference it made to my car, and it was only running stage 1. I had it fitted along with a sachs race clutch and the jabbasport lightened SMF.

Just food for thought......... and your probably gonna hate me for putting the idea in your head lol.
