When I first had my Leon I would noticed that the turbo would cut out on me randomly every now and then and I would have to switch off the engine and start the car and it would work as normal. I found the reason why this was happening and sorted out the problem.

I have had no problem with this for well over a year but now all of a sudden the turbo cut out on me again. This time though when I restarted the engine the engine management light stayed on and the turbo will not come back on:(

I don't have this Vag software so I'll be taking the car to my local garage but I would just like to know what problem it could range from.

I don't think the turbo is broke itself because I have had no White smoke bellowing out of the exhaust but I'm not ruling that out. I'm just keeping my fingered crossed on that one.

If anyone could help on this one it would be of a big help:)

Thanks

Hey MrBen2k7

It was the MAF, just replaced it now and the engine man light has gone off. Only problem is that the car feels very laggy and slaggish now :(

Would this be because i have done a good 60 to 70 miles with the MAF ****ed and now the Turbo has bult up dirt etc and i need to give it a good moterway drive? or could it be something else?

Yeh I would guess so. Get some fuel treatment in there and give it a proper good blast.

Drive it like it was stolen...

Might be worth scanning it still and clearing the code if there is one.

You can get the free-ware Rosstech or VAGCOM and a cable off eBay for <£15.00, that'll let you scan for and clear error codes.
