Stg 2 map, was this done as a custom map on the rollers?
How does the car drive? Do you think its good fun? Ddoes it matter what the rollers say? Pub talk?

this is a follow up to the response chips thread, wasnt getting much feed back on that thread!!!
car feels pretty quick nothing overly impressive.does matter what the rollers say as i was told that the car would make bout an extra 30%power.take away the mods i have and its bit of a poor increase for £750!!
wasnt done on the rollers was done through a laptop, first time it was poo to drive but loads of boost then they had it for a few day remapped it again and now its better to drive but doesnt feel that "sharp".

one thing i noticed b4 and since the rr is 1.the filter i have doesnt have much protection from the oven of an engine!and 2. the drop in power after the best run.guy at awesome said it was due to the heatsoak.
how much difference would a better filter and fmic make???would it be nticeable under the right foot???
also why does the torque keep climbing??evn though the bhp doesnt??

max bhp 209@5150rpm and 240lb/ft@3050rpm.
run1 204bhp 235lb/ft
run2 209bhp 237lb/ft
run3 201bhp 240lb/ft

they are good figures for a stage 1 car
but id be expecting higher if id bought into a stage 2 and thats what i got

the mods i have and its bit of a poor increase for £750!!

It was £750 for a remap :-o

Sounds pricey.......even the big boys (the tuners that know what they are doing, have backup, support and will stand by their products) i.e, Revo, CustonCode, Apr etc are cheaper than that.

Figures look about right for stage 1, stage 2 will require about £1,000 in mod's and get you another 10bhp or so

As Bill rightly said the supporting mods arn't there for a stage 2 so the results are pretty good.

You definately need a fmic and preferably a cold air intake like the carbon fiber bmc one im on a stage 1 remap with all your mods plus the fmic and cold air intake and im easily pushing more than you i think theirs a forge fmic on ebay at the moment :)

this looks like its another over budget project then!!you had your car rr'd smiff??is it worth spending nearly a grand on fmic and better air intake??or should i just call it quits and setle with what i have????
the way this is going im seriously consiering getting an lcr (pre modded)!!ive spent bout £1400 upto now for 30bhp.cant justify spending an extra k for 10bhp or so,dont know how much more torque?

If your running stage 2 then the extra 1k should relese more than 10 bhp even on the ko3s ive never had mine rr'd i just tend to try my luck with anything that i know has got more power than 220 bhp if i come out looking rosie then im happy enough if you get me :D

It all depends on wether you like your car alot or little if your happy with the car itself keep it if not then you have to make the choice in loosing what youve spent on it all ready ive spent way more than 4k on my lc so i may aswell keep forever and get it to how i want:)

yeah thats fair enough but it can be decieving how much power you have!!in all fairness i thought i would be pushing at least 220bhp and a bit more torque however the best way to see how well the car has responded is on the road against another car.i know that its quick but maybe my expectations of being blown away by a remap were a bit high!!!
