hi im new here which engine codes came in leons 1.8t and which is best? i know the r is bam

why i ask is that early 1.8t engines suffered from wp failures, oil pressure problems as there are so many 1.8t's in the vag

hmm there are a few
R is BAM
LC petrol 180 is AUQ (or mine is)
but ive seen other codes AUG etc etc so ive no idea what they were fitted to

That's a sweeping statement. Where did you get that information from?

Not entirely sure if all of these went on Cupras but the 1.8's are:
AGN 125hp
APG 125hp
AUQ 180hp

also on the Cupra R
AMK 210hp
BAM 225hp

well passats 1.8t not sure of other they suffered from these problems might not be the case with seat

water pump failure is farily common.
the fact that early ones suffered maybe as they are older, the newer ones may fail yet.
i certinly know of 2003 2004 cars that have failed... as well as early ones.

get it replaced when you do the cam belt (with brass inpeller pump)
