Looking very nice oistein, I assume that the diff is a rear one as it looks quite different to the Quattro front one I have, is it a wavetrac one too?

Correct, it's the rear diff. Still waiting for the front one from Peloquin. My old Wavetrac diff broke when I stripped a gear.. guess it didn't survive some metal fragments so I'm going with Peloquin front and rear this time.

With the box are you going to keep the standard gears or get some aftermarket drop in sets like sqs for the high use gears like 3/4th to stop it happening again?

Keeping standard gears for now. When I strip a gear again the LSD will survive and I'll get a Toledo box with slightly longer gears.

Hi guys. I don't update here so often. But I just dynoed the car with Cat Cams 3651 advanced 3 degrees, 9.4:1 CR, ppt5935r 0.82ar turbo on E85 and netted 723bhp/637awhp with the Haldex locked 50/50.

Have a trackday this weekend and will gopro it as much as possible.

That is some power figure, surely in with a shout of being the most powerful LCR to date
Out of interest how has the 4wd affected the cars handling when used on track?

I have modified the Haldex system by adding a Peloquin in the front and rear diff. Controlling the engagement with a standalone system which engage the rear axle at 3psi so I have a positive oversteer control as soon as I go on the throttle.

Interesting, I had just thought of having the pump switchable and to leave it permanently on for using awd
I did see your pirouette in the wet on youtube, did virtually the samething myself at a very wet Bedford earlier this year

Yeah, I had to do some testing in the wet. Rained all damn weekend. Guess you brits are used to that huh? ;)

Not a good idea to lock it permanent 50/50 as the slightest turn will put tremendous loads on the Haldex clutches. I tested it when i drove in the rain and it started to judder as soon as I turned the wheel. The SQS switch which locks it permanent is only good to go completely straight or drifting on ice.

Hi Øistein,

Yes we are well used to the rain over here mate.

723 bhp sounds crazy, I bet that is one fast LCR.

How are you finding the peloquin compared to the wavetrac?

Thanks for replying to my PM , think I will go with a peloquin now too as I wouldnt want to fix or replace a wavetrac if I stripped a gear .

Peloquin > Wavetrac. Our boxes will strip a gear sooner or later and WHEN that happen you are better off with a Torsen diff as any plated LSD such as Wavetrac will not survive.

Yeah, I got a new 2.0tfsi crank from Germany. Had to buy a new block as well because one of the main caps had a crack.... so, new block, bored to 83mm, decked. Got new rods (Brute), kept the Mahle pistons, new rings, bearings, oil pump.

I also got a tdi haldex gearbox which I just tested the ratio. Steel forks and moved the Peloquin over.

Just done breaking it in and mapped E85 :)

5 years later. Can't believe I still build this car and love it more than ever.

Now running a GTX3582R gen 2 with a 84RS turbine. Haldex gen 1. Ignitron ECU. SQS dogbox with a sequential eshifter. Some aero bits.
