Anyone on here know the makers of the Sat Nav fitted to the Cupra R 225? Was option on mine which i did not go for but now wish i did! May be cheaper to get direct from manufacturer unless anyone know someone on here who has stripped out their's and no longer requires it in exchange for a tidy sum???

In my Ibiza it's a Blaupunkt and a hugely overpriced option it is too but I bought my car second hand with it in. Having said that, it does the job and fills the dash nicely.

Plenty of decent aftermarket Sat Nav units out though there far, far cheaper.

The blaupunkt (or was it Grundig) is the worst option you can get in a LCR! Over here (holland) you can get the unit for as cheap as 850 Euro's(coming from crashed Audi's and VW's) but then it just starts! the plastic you need are over 400 Euro's and the antenna ain't cheap either! The final result is that you get a belgian lady (about the same as if anyone telling you the where to go in fluent welsh) telling you where to go (but she often has an offday, bloody Navtech crap!).
For the same money you'll get the Pioneer AVIC (great system) or for much less the Alpine INA 333R.

anyone got any ideas on how to fit a MFD Seat Sat Nav unit into a Cupra dash?

my cupra came without a sat nav system brought a MFD ver G unit of Ebay with loom and GPS antanna, but dont know how to fit it in, dealers werent very helpfull, as i need the double din housing. any ideas?

Get a Pioneer AVIC X1 /X1R / X1BT (which ever model you want).

They are ace satnavs, cant fault mine - put it this way if I was buying another I would go for the same one. touch screen, full postcode, TMC, flip out screen so can be hidden - DVD player if you want to use it for that.

If it's a double DIN adaptor you are looking at about £250 if I am not mistaken

Do a search for double DIN sure you will find plenty of info......otherwise try www.icecavern.co.uk and Pete over there will have all the answers ;)
