This is the Skoda kit in my wife's Leon ST. It'll fit inside a 16'' wheel and above. There are a few different kits that will work but this one is the best as it the good additional space for extra items.

Any modern VWG jack will work as all of cars are built on the same MBQ platform.
Brilliant thanks. A bit off topic have you ever upgraded the lights on a MK3 pre facelift from yellow to white bulbs I know there has been mentions of LEDs but nothing about the daytime running lights can't seem to find any info or get answer. Thought I would ask as you seem to know a lot about the cars

No, sorry, I don't know anything about that. All of our cars have had LED lights.

Just to confirm, having both my previous hatchback and current ST estate models. Hatch will only take a 125 width spacesaver without it sitting proud of the boot floor, but the estate will take a full size spare. I have a full size matching 225/45/17 inch alloy and a Skoda tool kit sitting in the spare in my estate and it fits perfectly with the floor lying in the correct place. Yes I know the insert is actually for a 16 inch, but its secure enough when strapped in, the tools are all the same, and I'm not replacing like for like just so it fits more snugly!

16 inch alloy with the Skoda Octavia foam and kit. Quite hard to find, I managed to get a brand new one from Czech Republic from a Skoda parts site delivered for €76 which I thought was pretty good and arrived fairly quickly. Big thanks to @Mr Pig for the info.

That's the one you want. There are a couple of different kits but this one is best because it comes with a better jack. This jack is stronger than the 'half' scissor jack other kits have.

The pre-facelift ST came with the carpet boot well liner. One of cost cutting things they did on the facelift was remove that. You'll get one off a pre-facelift car. There is also a trim piece at the back of the boot under the seats, you're missing that too.
Thanks for that, will have a look for one

I have the space saver spare that was fitted from new in my 64 plate FR hatchback. The spare tyre size is T125/70R16. The jack and tools sit in a foam insert to the left of the spare,

Hi guys.am a newbie on this forum.

I have a seat leon fr hatchback 2.0 diesel fr.

Wheels are 235 35 19's

Recently bought this car and has no spare tyre in the back.

Does anyone know what size space saver be ideal for use as a spare for emergencies?

Should I be aiming for 16 inch or 18inch?

And will both size fit in the space of the boot well?

I saw a audi 125 70r18 for sale..does anyone know if this fits the leon fr?

The 18 inch will fit in the boot well, yes. And the Audi one should be the same being PCD112mm bolt spacings on the hub.
It's a real shame that the hatchback will only take a space saver, which of course limits you to 50mph when in use. The estate will take a full size, and I replaced the compressor kit with mine when I got the car with a full size 225/45/17 on a matching alloy rim

My winter alloys are actually for Audi A4

I still carry the compressor too, it's come in useful several times.

I'm using my old Audi (A4 B6) full size alloy for my spare. 225/47 R17 and exact same alloy dims/off-set etc.. as my Leon alloys - BUT the boot floor just about rests on the wheel when in the lower position. (only something like 5mm but you can still feel it rock a little)
I think the spoke design of the Audi alloy just protrudes a little more than the seat - it's not enough to bother me - but just to let you know not ALL full size alloys fit.

All full sized Leon wheels will fit up to and including the 19'' Cupra ones. The floor sits on the larger wheels but it doesn't cause a problem, although you might get a bit of rattling if nothing is in the boot and there is no padding on the wheel.

I fitted a full-sized spare in my daughter's Ateca and that raised the floor about two inches! Still perfectly usable but you need a different sized boot floor as the original is too big.

I kept the space saver and jack etc from my 06 plate Leon when I traded that in. Swopped it with the inflator kit in a new 13 plate Leon FR and again into my 18 plate Leon FR.
Also I have a full size spare wheel & tyre 225/45 R17 I bought back then from a dealer who sold off his showroom display wheels when they became obsolete.
eBay bargain back then when I paid less than the price of a new Pirelli tyre fitted to it. I bought it on the principle that if I came out in the morning to a flat tyre I could be in my way at full speed in less than 10 minutes. I was working back then, important. Needed it only once.
OK the wheel pattern may be different but I have assumed that the stud pattern and pcd would be the same for my 13 & 18 plate Leon FRs both on 17in wheels.
Didn't consider any change in offset was a problem. Will the full size spare and space saver fit my current Leon?
thanks for any response

Yes, both the Leon 2 and Leon 2 have the same 112PCD stud pattern. The full size won't however fit under the floor in the boot if yours is a hatchback, but it will if it is an estate. Photos here of a full size spare in my old hatchback (white car) and my current estate (blue). The space saver will fit in both the hatch and estate

Mk2 and Mk3 should have the same wheel mounting PCD and spigot - with 'similar' offset, so that wheel should fit.
It is the Mk1 which was different/smaller PCD.
