Yeah that white Leon in the photo looks absolutely perfect and that’s how mine should look. The plastic trim you can see poking through my gap is removable. I just removed it tonight to see if I could adjust the position of the boot catch but there was no movement in it unfortunately and I’ve literally tried everything I can think of. I even closed the boot with the plastic trim removed and the gap was still there :( there is 4 screw things and once you remove them, that trim comes off. So with that gone you no longer see that but the gap is still the same. It’s a weird one and really doing my OCD in ?I’ve attached a photo of that trim so you can see what I mean
I would suspect the bonnet catch also. I would remove it just to see if the bonnet go down and sits as it should. That bonnet it isn't fully closed

Afternoon all. I just wanted to update you with my gap issue in case anyone faces the same in the future.

I googled good body shops in Greater Manchester and came across a place called DC Motor Bodies in Stockport. I took the car down to show them first a couple weeks back and then booked in with them today.

Finally, the issue is now resolved and couldn’t be happier. The gap has gone!

Basically, they took the bumper off, raised it slightly then lowered the boot catch and it’s now sitting perfectly, as if it’s just come out the factory from new :D

I’ve attached a photo FYI

Thanks to everyone who replied offering advice - shame I wasn’t able to sort it myself but I guess sometimes it’s worth paying a professional if they can sort it.
