OK, first post, and abig admission, I'm an idiot.
The wife bought me a new gear knob for my Leon, as she knows the one I've got is looking the worse for wear. I got the old gear knob removed OK, but couldn't see a standard way to fit the new knob. Anyway, long story short, 5 minutes with a hack saw has left my old gear knob in pieces, and the new one still unable to fit.
I've looked at the guide on changing teh knob, but my gear shaft is different. there's a sleeve which you push down to get reverse gear, this isn't shown on the images on the guide.
Anyway, does anybody know where I can get a replacement knob. It doesn't have to be brand new, just in decent knick.
