Leon interior quite wet

Went to view a SEAT LEON CUPRA 1.8 20V but the interior windscreen and the rear was soaking wet, to the extent it had to be dried before i took it for a drive.

Anything to look out for regarding this?

mine does the same

as far as im away its quite common

check your pollen/partilcle filter is clean and cleared of debris

depends if the interior had been cleaned before eg seats had been washed or something. my is a car salesman n after they valet the cars they leave the car wid heaters on red hot for a while to dry them out.

my inside as never been wet its always been on the outside. the inside is been stone dry

Bloody hell sounds just like my mk3 Astra GSi i'm selling, same old territory then.

Inside was leather,seat belt were a bit "musky" so unsure

Didn't have a 2 o clocker on the back seat did you.........

Mines is the same just now going into seat on saturday.Water comes in through back doors the seals on the bottoms of the doors are too tight to the sill when the door is closed so water cant escape through drain holes.

51 plate quicker than mine of course, liked the handling, loved the trick heat controls, boot was huge wasn't expecting that.
Didn't like the changer in the glove box, i guess that can be removed to make the glove box a usable size?
Brakes were damn good even compared to my V6 ones.

Any pointers on any of that

leaking or weakened door seals are common faults for the moisture, after heavy rain check for dampness underneath the mats directly on the carpets. ive also found that on cold days when you've had the heater on, a few minutes later after you park up the insides steams up causing moisture on the windscreens.

The changer in the glovebox can be removed and you can get an insert from a stealer to go in place of it. If you fancy parting with the changer, give me a shout!

Unless I'm mistaken, the Cupra has the same suspension as my FR+ but mine has the LCR bodykit and an oil burner under the bonnet. Tuning potential is pretty huge for the 1.8T but I wanted economy too...

What these like on fuel on a motorway run and around town?

On the LC people get anywhere between 25-33ish mpg. Suppose it all depends on how you drive, I can even get my TDI down to 20-25mpg if I drive it hard enough.

I suppose it wouldn't be all that different from your XE, what do you get from that (realisticaly), 25-30mpg?

Astra is sold mate (just need paying for it) only mk4 out there tbh and they really do nothing for me.

Jeez... I need to keep more up to date! Agreed, Mk4 doesn't make me want to dunk my biscuit either.

Different engine, I know but the Leon has definately been my best buy so far. Parts are reasonable, servicing at specialists (if you want to keep oem parts etc) is reasonable, very practical and understated. I must admit, I'm thinking of getting rid of my Astra too once I've fitted the GSI kit. It'll either get replaced with an Ibiza Cupra or a BMW 8 series which caught my eye yesterday...
