I am about to take delivery of my Candy White FR although desperately want some black mirrors caps as opposed to the silver ones already on it!

Those who have the caps, can they let me know where they got them from?

I also want the non-chromed centre grill for the car (the bit with the Seat badge in), like that on the Cupra. Anybody know of a good place to get those from?

Saying that just spotted on ebay one for £30 Item number: 160204352475
Only just gone on brand new too. I would check dealer price first as sometimes ebay prices are more:doh:

I got the cupra black grill from my local seat dealer and it only cost me £35. For the mirror caps the dealer said you cant get them pre-painted so had to buy primed ones at £10 each and have them currently getting painted. From another thread i found out the paint code is Ebano Black Z9W. Hope that helps. If you do a seach for ebano black to a thread, PAINT CODE will show you. :)

Excellent, thanks for that, I have just bought the grill which seemed a bargain for a new boxed item.

Will give the dealer a call regarding the mirror caps.

Has anybody considered the idea of getting the FR 18s painted black? I'm certainly tempted, think it will contrast better with the Candy White...

Will look forward to seeing the pics!

How much does it cost to get them painted up black? I remember reading about someone getting a megane cup's wheels painted up and it cost them more than buying a set of wheels!

Hmm, not sure about the citrus FR! Will have to wait to see the pics...

On a note I posted earlier, how easy it is to paint the mirror caps yourself? Where will I get the ebano black from? Halfords potentially? I don't want the mirrors looking like a botched job with the paint having run.

Anyone got a genuinely good result from self painting?

Painted my FR ones black to match my grill. Really easy to do look fantastic. Got some black gloss spray from halfords, primed them and then sprayed. Look good and seem to resist chips and marks far better than the ''1 coat'' original silver ones
