im sure you can twin charge cars..
the supercharger would proved boost untill the turbo spools up but i dont know what gains you would see

but also quite big losses due to running a supercharger too

I want more insights. I'm planning to do one also. I did my homework but the only thing that worries me is fuel. In the place where I live, they don't even know what the heck is SEAT at certain point.

Even saying to turbocharge a 1.8 20V non-turbo lump is not feasible still, due to improper ECU tuning or some sort? Because of this fact, I'm putting off my project idea of doing Turbo/SC.

And no, I can't source a 1.8T engine in my country.

forget superchargers,

i reckon it isnt worth it if
A) Its as expensive as an upgraded turbo
B) You lose power to gain power
C) Will cause more problems in the long run
D) Dee
E) Not worth it.

i considered them.
they increase natural aspirated power, but will kill your engine a lot quicker.
so i probably wouldnt go that way either

great idea and good kit (damn good) but to be honest the charger price alone would cover the cost of a 1.8T

What about using a G60, this engine will drop straight into the engine bay of the leon and the mounts ain't that hard to get fixed.

Solves most big problems and only causes a few small new ones.

I dont even think that would be worth it concidering the weight of the leon..
I think i would conider the itb,s for a 1.8 20v with a large port head could be alright

Thing is with ITB's, unless it's running a standalone.. I still think it needs the MAF to calculate the extra air coming into the engine. It would be useless to run in limp-mode but ITB's


Or am I wrong?
