light on temprature gauge

Hi , since the cold weather started every now and then the light on the temp gauge flashes
and the coolant alarm beeps 3 times .
does anyone know what this means ???

You haven't searched have you?

Either low coolant or the prongs in the header tank need cleaning.

Happened to me but I turned the engine off and restarted. Haven't seen it since.

I think we need a temperature gauge related sticky :-D

Had the same thing in the mornings when its cold. Checked coolant level probes then topped up with G12 plus coolant and all has been well since!
