when i come out to start my car in the morning and maybe during the day my car seems to lack power ie as if there is no turbo then when i pull over and start the engine again its fine it has been mapped and there is a 17705 code being thrown up can someone point me in the right direction

hi guys also at full power ( naughty i know) the car seemed to hunt for want of a better phrase ie like i was backing off then applying the pedal constantly any ideas

First thing to do is check for boost leaks including the pipes that run next to your dipstick.

i have the very same problem ! thats odd !!

they have checked everything on my car ! except the DV so that is the next thing they goin to to now

mine also had a bad EGT sensor !

Car surging

hi folks have a small problem, my cupra 1.8t feels when under power surges forwards then backs off and so on and so on can anyone shed some light it is remapped and boost pipes have been changed it is running a 007dv.

also when its cold ie first thing in the morning i am getting the no turbo feeling then if i switch it off then start it up again the power is back help its driving me nuts

changed the maf on monday also

Sounds like your N75 valve (boost pressure control) is on its way out, try a known good one and see if that cures it. A perfect excuse to upgrade to an N75J.

I had surging on my first Cupra with a GIAC remap. Never had the cold start problem though. My current car has a Jabba custom remap and is surge free.

Very odd you posted this today, as im noticing the same on my Leon, mainly in 6th when overtaking. Car also feels a little resistant at low revs and lumpy idle when cold. I had one coil pack go on me last week which I swapped out, was wondering if any of the symptoms could be due to the other packs/plugs.

Think I will now also look at replacing the N75 with the J

I am also getting the weird surging thing since having my car mapped last weekend. CC phase 1 and Forge 007P fitted. I'm suspecting spark plugs or perhaps early signs that the coil packs are on their way out?

ive changed my plugs

dont think its the coil packs as there is plenty of power up to about 5500rpm then it surges and exhaust starts popping

i have the same problem on my ibiza, where can you get the N75J from?

my 007p had a green spring in it so i changed this for a yellow one seems better but still surges maybe n75 valve will know tomorrow ordered an n75j as when i rang seat with the chassis no it came up as being an alternative although the one highlighted for my car was an A valve according to the part no ?
