I'm tempted to say what seems obvious. MAF Sensor, Steering angle sensor, etc. However, I find it hard to believe that many sensors have failed at the same time. Wondering if it's more like an electrical short or fuse that's causing multiple errors.

Yes I didn't think all those would fail at the exact same time.

Car had been fine until one day last week the dash lit up like Blackpool. I should also have stated that the speedo doesn't work either now. Well the revs are fine but no speed is noted by the needle.

I'd check the fuses next to the battery. Scroll to the bottom of this... maybe the fuse has gone for the ABS module. Which it likely uses for a load of measurements.

I'll check out those fuses directly.

I think the battery is probably original (62 plate) so you think that might contribute to the issues?

I'd at least check the battery voltage to get an idea of what state it's currently in. Check the simplest / cheapest options first. But a failing battery can cause all kinds of lights / false readings.
