looking for Blue dashboard bulbs?

Im looking to change the bulbs from the back speedo etc... but was just woundering where i can get blue ones from and what do i ask for? cheers

i used these on top

running 9v as std supply (crap picture sorry) clicky here

thats on std gti silver dials from top with red strip removed but same bulbs in back of lcd screens but wanted em to stay orange in mine

about 95% i reckon with the silver (white be better) so im altering mine to 12v (dimmer bypass) if you want details let me know ill pass em on after

you can buy blue bulbs from the dealers, the actual dash clocks come apart easily enough theres plenty of little black screws once you get the main casing off, there is orange filters behind the lcd parts which can be removed , its not as effective as having two leds cut into the outer plastics on the dashboard tho as the internal ones have a lot of refraction to get to the outer bits.

ive had the dash out before but cant remember how many bulbs there where, does any one know how many i will need to do the lot clocks speedo etc... as it would save abit of trouble gettin it out! cheers

around 4 should be enough, get half a dozen to be sure and incase of failures.

Have ordered 10 blue LED bulbs today and also got the alarm led on the door card in blue too to match. Will post pics as its all fitted.

make sure the door one isnt too bright

acts like a twat/scum magnet round ere - duh err look blue (nice car)- lets see what stereo and other kit he's got in there shall we

The speedo, the rev counter, fuel and temp guage are all lit from the front with one or two leds with an tinted red filter, all you really need to get is something in the right colour thats tinted.

The white light will shine through and project the new colour.

The filters would have been a cheaper idea!! nevermind there ordered now and should be here tomoz.. as for the scum lol most of the little shits round here i know and get along with so that should`nt be a problem (i hope)!
