Looking to buy a Cupra R soon.. What to look for?

Hi,
I'm going to be looking to buy soon once iv saved few more spondooleys, just wondered what should i look out for when looking to buy one? I'm not very mechanicley minded and iv never had a turbo car before either so not too sure how to spot one thats been ragged or hasnt been looked after! I'll treat it like my baby! Haha.

The R is fast and looks good. The cupra isn't and doesn't

Look out for water leaks and water leaks and also water leaks.

My platinum grey is the fastest in standard form but the black ones remap to a higher bhp and torque figure, something to do with the g/s airflow ratio

Also make sure you decide on what version you want, 210 or 225. This is really only a money factor.

Look for - door leaks as noted above, steering wheel leather rubbed away on right hand side (shows true age/mileage), engine hosing deteriorated, top mount/suspension bush excessive play.

These are the main things I have noticed due to 18months ownership to be key areas.

Decide whether you want a standard or modified example and 'how modified'

No not being serious - just a bit of banter pal. Read the guides that the other people have linked you to which is the best advice you'll get. Before I bought mine I read these which certainly helped me out.

Id be happy with either model really, is the 210 just abit slower? Nowt else like crapper brakes or anything?

both 210 and 225 are pretty much the same. different steering wheel and wing mirrors and different sensor on the turbo are the main things. performance wise they are pretty much the same, they remap to the same power so you get more gain by buying the 210
both have brembo brakes.
