sounds about as loud as mine if not slightly louder.

Im also running turbosmart.

Had a bit bother setting it up but a bit patience and its spot on now.

car looks and sounds great mate

All dump valves on a 20v sound ****. Including the recirc and split r ones.

That's why I dont bother running one at all. Just plugged the ports of.

Nope. Machined up two 25mm ally bungs at work and blanked of the vacumes. Same as I've run pretty much every turbo car Ive owned.

Unless its a gt series turbo they don't need dump valves.

Hmmm I thought these cars you couldn't just blank the dv up?

Thought that cause the air the be forced back on the turbo when it's spinning causing it to bending fins?

My mates Leons dv packed up, not opening, and them bent the fins in 3 months cuz he couldn't be bothered to fix it.

I can assure that's incorrect mate. If any thing it could annoy the maf with air being blown back past but these have a backing plate to stop it.

Ran a ko4 Tt like it fOr 40k miles.

The risk with a gt series turbo is that due to the reduced sized bearing it can bend the shaft of snap it. Not bend fins.

Well, if your plastic one is playing up. You could A spend 100 quid on a forge one.
Or B blank it of for free and spend the 100 on more fuel for more fun?

Lol.
Always been a great believer of not over complicating things. No dv is one less thing to leak as far as I'm concerned.

Not saying you should all go ditch yours. But I quite like a bit of chatter any way. Makes it feel a bit more old school ( come from a long line of Rs turbos and other 80s low comp high lag set ups )

So you run no recirculating valve or anything? Put up a vid of You coming off the throttle from boost, want to hear this

You must have a lot of turbo chatter,

And you may have run a tt for 40k miles, but 20vt engines, as designed, running recirc valves have done 200k and more with them,

Sent from my HTC Wildfire S using Tapatalk 2

Tt started its non recirc life at 90k and went on to 130 in my ownership. You get more chatter at low rpm part throttle intervals as the 20v tb doesn't ever actually seal even off throttle. Not like an Evo or Rs turbo for example.

every turbo needs a dv or simular turbo chatter will happen and will eventually cause wear i researched the the nuts off it, also alot of guys close to me love the turbo chatter and all of there turbos have gone thats not coincedence i know, mine 007 id more than loud enough ill post a vid soon

Every turbo does not need a turbo at all. I appreciate you may think what you've read on the interweb is correct but it's not.

On a conventional kkk or garret a dv is not require until your running t4 sized and 30psi plus. The only turbos that actually require a dv as I've ready said are the new roller bearing and gt series turbos.

A ko3 and even ko4 turbos are grunts of the turbo world I'm afraid and are not big enough and defiantly not capable of producing the amount of boost required to necessitate a dv.

As soon as mine blows I will almost certainly be fitting my .63 trim stage 3 t3 turbo. Mangled to peak and hold 1.9 bar on a big valve cvh running 280ish bhp. Should flow plenty to break the 300 in a 20v with supporting mods.
