Low speed knocking noise

Hi I've got a 07 cupra and at low speeds there is this occasional knock which can be quite loud. I have tightened the sub- frame bolts, checked the anti-roll bar links and they seem solid and there is no play in the steering. Has anybody got any ideas

Thanks

I have this on my 09 plate K1. Exact same problem.

A dull knock, only noticable at low speeds, less than 15 mph. only needs slight road defect to set it off (cats eyes, drain covers, thick white lines etc).

I had mine back at SEAT a couple of months ago for it, and a couple of other warranty issues. They said they took various pannels off and found a couple of bits of loose trim which they padded and secured.

I was that pleased with the other major work the dealer had done, I failed to notice the knocking was still there the next day. They were convinced it sounded like loose trim, but im in agreement that it sounds like a loose suspension component at the rear.

TBH, they make such a meal out of doing any warranty work, its put me off going back and im just going to live with it untill about a month before the warranty runs out, then I'll take it back and get that and any other work carried out free of charge before the first MOT is due next summer.

If you find out exactly what it is, please post back, with photos if poss.

no way i do not spend this kind of money to have some knocking noise when I go over a bump.

I can live with dashboard noise as there is nothing what I can do, but I know there is something not right in front of the car

Mine is worse than it was.. but goes away when slightly applying brakes.. and when rolling in traffic if i apply the handbrake it goes away so I'm suspecting rattling rear inner brake pad.

Ordering up new brakes now so will see what happens.

Same with mine!
Slight knocking noise from passenger side if going over slight bumps or ripples in the road.
Serviced at end of month so will get awesome to check it

Does any one else need that car to have warmed up for 10 mins prior to the rattle starting. Makes me think it's a rubber that hard when cold and then more plyable when warmed. Exhaust mount?

I've not found anything yet but have noticied that with weight in the boot there's no noise whatsoever and then as soon as the weights out it's there again.
