I am also looking to order some but dont want to drop the front too far that it rubs as i wont be able to do anything unlike coilovers which i can wind up?

sounds like coilovers would be best for the mk2 so you can adjust the height but obiously cost alot more.think ill go for a 40mm drop to be safe

When mine was low (50-70mm):

Caught everywhere, and was far too soft, was so glad to get it wound back up. Yeah it looks great but its a nightmare to drive everyday

i dont think so!
I've had 16's lowered more than 60mm all round and i dont get rubbing issues.

only time i got rubbing was when i had to use a spare wheel which had a 55 profile tyre.

There is something definetely not quite right here. :help:

Im lowered 60mm at the front with 195/50/15 tyres and I dont get rubbing. Only time I sometimes (and not very often!!) get rubbing is if i hit a bad bump in the road, but its nothing major.

Mine scrubbed on the arch liner when it was down low, but that was before I had it cambered - you might want to try that?
