I've always owned Peugeot/Talbot cars, I had a spell in a Mk2 Golf GTI, but because Peugeot haven't made a decent car since my last one (306 GTI-6) I have defected to the VW group.

My 306 GTI-6 was ultra reliable, whereas the Mk2 Golf probably cost me more money to keep on the road and caused me more headaches than any other car! :(

I will see how I get on with the LCR. It's fun to drive, that's for sure! :D

Coincidently i also had a 306 gti6 also before my LCRs, very nice car and reliable apart from when it understeered into a rather large curb... handling certainly wasnt its strong point!

You'll love this car mate..until the mod bug hits and you realise how much potential there is with these cars!

The rest of the car has done the original (old) mileage but the engine has done the new, you should always quote both ;)

Mines done 106000 now and still going strong...Dam, where's that piece of wood :cartman:

I know a guy who bought a 56 plate LCR two years ago with 1,200 miles on it.
I haven't seen him for ages but don't think he does many miles
So would doubt he's over 10,000 miles

It's not so much the mileage as the time. The belt can still deteriorate even if not used. Once exposed to heat, moisture, air etc... I'd still get it done between 4-5 years to be on the safe side.

I need mine doing sometime between now and Sept next year :(

mine is due too allan......dont you hate forking money out for maintenance? hahah....ive been quoted £517 for major, cambelt, water pump and labour.....proper cheap although that is FMIC money ....
