has any one here ever had a LPG conversion? can anyone comment on power loss/gain? running costs? where they had it done? how much it cost? oh and on the side how many clylinder's does a 1.8 20VT have?
I was under the impression that you couldn't LPG a car that has a turbo?!?
At least thats what I was told when I was investigating the same thing for my T5-R ovloV

. Seriously though LPG is just a fuel same as petrol so you can convert any engine if you want to. Just do some homework and make sure whoever fits the system is insurance approved fitter and that the system fitted is insurance approved as your insurance company is likely to ask for proof of both. Conversion will cost about £2000ish as stated so you will need to be doing some miles to make the conversion pay but on a good note your insurance will not go up by doing the conversion as it isn`t a power mod and is environmentally friendly.has any one here ever had a LPG conversion? can anyone comment on power loss/gain? running costs? where they had it done? how much it cost? oh and on the side how many clylinder's does a 1.8 20VT have?
