I had my first ride in an Eunos last weekend, and have fallen in love. Looking at buying one as a 2nd car in the next few weeks. Which insurance broker did you got through if you don't mind me asking?

Now all fully legalised :)

My garage picked it up, slapped a ticket on it & gave us the bill. Mrs m0rk dutifully went & parted with 6 months tax money all ready for me to come home from two weeks away for a weekend of roof down, antisocial sounding, sideways driving

Sounds like fun, hope the weathers good for you.
Will you take this up to Glasgow any time? Or is the Clio the weegie car?

I don't think I could handle the drive up in the Mazda to be honest, plus the limited mileage would be consumed on the M6

Job for tomorrow is to drop the suspension from it's current MOT friendly height and do some interior tidy up jobs & fit my bucket

So little outlay... hmm yeah :) next year had best be a cheaper year on it!

Went out for a good run today to the Isle of Wight. Mazda was great, but still needs a new clutch (I was hoping for it self healing)

Everyone should do this.

Cheers :)

New Chassis Rails are turning up in the week

They look like this -

framerails_1_s.jpg

I took the car to the airport last weekend, and drove home yesterday in the lashing down rain, roof down of course

However, I forgot that in the wet, with decently cambered rear wheels and the first rain for a good while meant very slippy roads & had a looooooong 65mph slide in 3rd gear popping off the limiter as I joined the M27. Hirrarrrious. NOT

No need for this, as my chassis is still very well underneath now

But this would be a good use for the parts when it's well rotten (or crashed)

£2500 for the kit, and it reckons you could sell the leftovers for about a grand. And you save 350kg too
