How easy is it to drift one of these?

I had an RX8 PZ before the Mk2 Cupra, and that gripped sooo well, but didn't really want to slide. Probably due to the lack of torque...

Thinking of buying one of these, but I must admit it would be for a bit of sideways fun!

It wasn't as bad as I thought when I did it - mostly because the heaters are awesome.

That said, I don't think I'd want to learn to drive one in the winter - best get it & learn to catch the inevitable skids in the spring

slow speeds it's easy peasy to get an armful of oppo (roundabouts, hairpins) - Higher speeds where they're set up a bit stiffer/looser at the back than normal you tend to steer straight round corners

If you put too much tyre on, or not enough camber they'll just stick

Cheap as chips to buy - not quite there on maintenance costs - but their resale is quick & easy

There's a serious lack of small rwd cars.. If only the early civics were rwd too...
I should be picking up the new family cruiser this Sunday (Toyota aristo) and once the Leon goes I'll try and find a miata for about £1200 or less!

Have you got a video of the car now? I'd love to hear it with a decat. Surprisingly there's not much on YouTube

I'll keep it for the forseeable, the chassis is sound the engine is still strong & it's still the best fun.

I've taken it to work a few times since I sold the Clio & I'm secretly hoping for snow.

I'm happy having three cars, all will be fun - but the MX5 can be impracticable too, so it'll stay until it's beyond repair
