MAF Errors New MAF

Its funny you mention this. I had only been thinking about this yesterday.

The car eventually went to the dealers to be looked at. They decided that this was a problem caused by the oxygen sensor. They charged me for this and the problem went away for about 1 week (sometimes the problem didn't occur in this time so don't think this solved it!!)

It went back again for them to tell me that it was the MAF that was faulty. By then i had had this fault off and on for 12 months and thought what the hell lets try and change this again, so this is what we did and it lasted again for a couple of days before the fault came back again.

At this point i called the dealer to tell them that after spending £375 i wasn't going to spend a penny more and expected them to sort it, or put the old parts back on my car and refund me the money.

They took the car in, decided that the throttle bodies were dirty and hey presto, the fault went away and i never had it back.

My advice to you would be to get the throttle boddies cleaned and go from there. It may sort your problem for next to nothing / nothing.
