I take it thats metal then and not plastic lol.... Ah do they dan, may have to look in to then a bit further, bet there a bitch to fit tho

Looks great Mike. You'll be fine aslong as sump guard is there and you don't drive like a tool over ground where it's going to rub for a fact!

I avoid almost every bump/speedhump in the road and mine's not on the lowest setting.

Thanks :) .. Ive just been looking at the baffled sumps for around £350, the sump gaurds are around 200 so what would you do if ya had the choice?... Looks like the guards hang lower than the baffled sump would?

engine spacers along with larger bolts come in 15/25mm sizes, easy to fit if you have a ramp or jack, they cost about £50 to buy.

Right, I thought id be clever and try a new way to work earlier, all was well until I hit a hidden bit in the road and clouted the sump, HARD! .. I shat myself expecting oil everywhere but luckly there wasnt :D im not taking the chance again and im gonna get some protection asap ... I would just raise the coilys up im too stubborn

4 Choices

New engine mounts to raise engine up .. Still yet to find some suitable ( £ 60ish? )

Shallow sump from Awesomegti ( £ 150ish )

Baffled sump from Backdraft ( £ 350ish )

Or a sumpgaurd but there way to expensive for my liking and wont be a s good as a sump.. ( £ 200ish? )

The awesome gti one is looking promising, what do ya all reckon?

Is that the most sensible option or just the cheapest and easiest?.. i dont mind paying out for a sump if thats better but then if the spacers will not make it hit there aint much point lol.. Cheers Jake I shall PM him :)
