Cheers :).. I dont quite know mate, i did another throttle body alighnment, topped it right up with oil, made sure some pipes were done up again, and it seemed a lot better, hopefully thats all it needed, altho im sure im gonna have some sort of leak on boost with my injector seats and they wont wind all the way down

Glad to hear you seem to have sorted it mate :)

I was under half full when I checked my oil recently so got some Fuchs Titan stuff off oilman on here at Opie Oils. Good price and recommended it as one of the best oils for LCR. Car seems alot smoother all round tbh, start ups seem quicker too seems great stuff.

Didnt last long :(, took my manifold back off, cleaned injectors, tightned the seats all the way down this time, hoping that would have cured it all, started fine and ran perfect, but now when i rev it it knocks and the then splutters a few times on idle then will settle again.. worried about the knock as it was perfect before it came off the road :(

Hoses turned up today though.. now gonna fit most of them :)

Dan its from SFS.. ask them about the 4piece lower kit, it comes part of that but they will sell it seperatly like they did to me...

Cheers Tom, should look good when done, all coilpacks are ok and down.. just really worried about the knock thats comin from somewhere .. Not having any luck with this lately, lost nearly all my love for it again. :(

Good stuff :)

I was thinking earlier of washing mine tomorrow but it doesn't need it as it's been driven once in 9 days and isn't dirty since last clean lol.

Hi Mike,

Finally managed to get a copy of FC yesterday evening; nice pics and write-up.

I'm not proclaiming to be an expert, but I've had something similar to this happen to me. In the end, it was a coilpack that was intermitantly faulty, and didn't completely run smooth again unitl all four packs were replaced. Bear in mind that when a cylinder has below-par voltage, it may cause a sluggish motion and this maybe the cause of the knock in the cylinder; engines tend to knock when they run rough. Get a voltmeter and clip it to each each wire feed individually, it should read roughly 14 volts. Any less at any point, it could be a dirty connection within the loom, or at the point of the coil pack.

Cheekily, I called out the AA when mine started to play up, and this is what he did, before my mechanic repeating the same process.

No expert in any shape or form mate, but this was my experience. Thought it might help. Keep the faith. It'll be something very minor and soon it'll run sweet as a nut again.

Loving the Green!

James.

Thanks a lot mate, ive gt a few last little things to check, im going to thread lock all injector seats in and alraldite round the tops to try and seal them fully to make 100% sure.. Glad you enjoyed the feature :)

Soo today i got all the other bits on, and gave it a wash, felt a bit more love for it again, but the knock/misfire problem is still there.. Oh and ignore the blue hose, still need to order a replacement :)
