Yeh i guess, i may try a tube of chemical metal then.. ive gotta be so carful that nothing breaks off after ive done it and falls in the engine tho .. Excuse the crap pic but where ive shaded in white thats what chipped out under the seat.. i cant see how i could attach the chemical metal to it as the seat has to screw down flat and if i blobbed some on it wouldnt..

Clean the areas, apply the resin, allow to cure, and then sand it to the contors of the original surface. The great thing with Chemical metal is that once it's cured, it's a metal, so sanding it down wouldn't cause it to become britttle or loose, etc. I would imagine that this wouldn't cause any displacement.

Yeh i kinda get what your saying mate.. its quite a big hole to bridge tho.. ill just have to give it a go and see, got nothing to lose.

I'd take the leaking injector seal out then roll the chemical metal into a long sausage, put the CM around the opening and then push the new seal in on top of the CM and trim off any excess.

Yeah, you can either get putty or two-tubed paste. The paste is thick and workable. I haven't used the putty before so couldn't comment. If I were doing it, I'd use paste, use a M8/M10 bolt as the template, apply the paste and once happy, move the bolt. With the putty, I'd want to make sure that it properly adheres to the orignal casting

Everyone has their preference, but worth giving it a go in any case

completley non selling relatd question how did you do your boot release?having mine smoothed but will need to get in obv lol

I got a leon petrol solenoid and a passat boot popper and wired it up mate.. fairly easy to do too..

If your dewipered too, you can plug the solenoid straight in to the wiper plug, trace the wires down drivers side and mount ya switch where the alarm motion sensor button is, thats what ive done..

I have a popper installed on mine but it's wired into the rear wiper so pops when you push the stalk forward
