.. Ive always wanted an m3, the same as i always wanted a cupra R.. If you dont do these things when you can the time may not ever come...

I dont wanna be sitting there at the age of 70 regretting that id never had the chance to own one..

In 2 minds wether to get a m3.. or just a 330 or 325.. half the price, so that leave plenty for mods.. hmm

3 years ago I test drove back to back - E46 M3 then a 130 Msport, the M3 didn't do it for me, 130 was a better drive. The M3 didn't make me feel any different from a 325Msport my mate had and I just sat there disappointed... Then drove the MKV R32 and bought one days later lol.

M3 looks awesome, has a great 'road presence' and seems like a great option but in all reality with Rwd you can use it 6 months max a year properly, it isn't any different inside than the 330 and no quicker than a remapped 330D!

I LOVE M3's and have been close 3 times to buying one in the last 3 years but over it I have bought - MKV R32 then Alfa 156 GTA and most recently the LCR and I know I will choose an S4 over one next

Haha sorry to bore you mate

Oh and the 330 Clubsport is a better option ;) IMO

Naa thats cool mate i appreciate ya feedback.. I keep thinkin all of what yourve just said, the clubsports are so much money for not a hugely special car tho people seem to be sayin.. I dunno what ill do.. but for now the Leon will still get the special treatment its always had and ill plod along as planned :)

Still running rubbishy.. was fine until i give it the biggun and come on full boost.. cleared the faults and its kinda of ok again.. then the faults came back...

16684 - random misfire
16685 - cyl 1 misfire
16686 - cyl 2 misfire..

and 17626.. which is injector 2 fault?..

car runs way better now ive done the inlet seat and fitted another new gasket.. but get the problem when i come on full boost, runs really bad for few seconds then is ok again if you poodle along..

Hey Mike,

Glad you managed to sort the injector seat. You happy with the fix?

Hope the missfire settles now you've swapped the injectors...

Having owned my car for some seven years now, I've had similiar missfire problems. My coilpack on cylinder three went, but didn't run perfectly until all four were changed; the failed items had been original items, so this was to be expected. The missfire came about when I gave it the beans, and an intermittant missfire developed over the course of the journey home from work. By the time it was home, it was a cylinder down and sounded very lumpy; coilpacks tend to go fairly quickly...

Replacing my throttle body, I re-used my gasket but it had a slight tear that didn't create a complete seal; again rough running continuously. Again, a similar story when fitting the power gasket between the block and the inlet. You would expect a fairly consistent pattern of the fault if it was an air leak in that region? Would it be worth doing a airleak test from the TIP to check all the boost pipe work, etc? RSmith (Robbie) reported on one in his RR thread...

I hope you get it sorted soon buddy :)

Hello mate, yeh im pretty sure thats fixed it, i put some round the inside/outside and under it and its gone off rock solid so all is good...

Ive had a smoke test done and the only place it leaked out from was the inlet which ive now fixed, so hopefully itll settle down now and be ok... i foubnd loads of threads on passat/golf/audi forums and lots of people had the same problem when changing inlet or bringing there car out of storage, then they just vanish so hopefully it will all settle down and be ok, i was loads better last night, but im still not using the car properly yet so its not getting a good run which it could do with.

Not a huge lot to update as still waiting for things/people.. Interior should be back next week, hope ive made the right choice this time.. and the car will be off to the bodyshop... debating wether to do a few little touches while its there but i just want it back on the road now...

Also ive spoke to SFS about the charge pipe to dump valve + charge pipe to n75.. hoses as they dont make them..

Im sending mine to them and there going to develop a kit :D.. and i get some spanky new green ones instead of my blue forge ones :)
