Right, just to sum up everything - bare minimum requirements for stage 2 is an intake and downpipe? Or is the Forge twintercooler essential aswell?

bare minimum is the downpipe. but if you making it expel exhaust gases faster, it would make sense to let it suck in air faster as well, so me personally id say yes do both, but it isnt the bare minimum.

Another quick question is can I buy the downpipe + race cat first and then the cat back later?
thats the way i will be doing it. it will be after ive done the intake, intercooler, downpipe, suspension, brakes etc etc. then i will start considering the cat back

It will give 10-15% more power than stage 1 so we're looking at around 230-240bhp.. :O
going straight to stage 2 would be a HUGE difference lol.

No one will know about the intercooler being required yet until guys start getting the stage 2 and start doing logs. If the intake air temps go though the roofs then it might be a good idea.

IM GOING STRAIGHT TO STAGE 2 :D lol

ordered my TBE from AMD today obviously going to get it mapped to stage 2 then itg are getting their induction kit out to me aswel by the end of the week so hopefully i will see some nice gains from the standard car :D when its all done. i have asked if i can do a power run before they do any work so i have a before and after car is being run on shell vpower aswel so hopefully it will unleash the beast :p.

AMD said to me the only mandatory item for the stage 2 map is the TBE everything else is optional? i will leave the twintercooler for now thats very expensive and wont have any pennies left maybe in a couple of months gives me something to look foward to :)

Thanks for the replies! Regarding the air intake, I was having a look at mine and the filter is HUGE! seriously alot bigger than I thought it would be and its enclosed too, keeping the air cool. The forge filter actually looks smaller than the OEM one so im unsure if I'll change that as the OEM seems substantial (but what do I know lol) I presume milltek supply the race-cat when you buy the downpipe?

I know the difference between stock and stage 2 must be insane lol! maybe even dangerous :p

i doubt it would be dangerous more epic im pretty sure ill be able to handle it have handled more power than that just not in my own car dads got 320bhp sti and work in the motor trade so take stuff out on test drive had an M5 the other day very fast. not sure about how some others may handle it though lol. the full TBE includes a race cat in the downpipe if your looking to replace in bits you will have to ask for dp and race cat i would imagine

Yeah epic would be a better word! I've had a shot of my dads C63 AMG and thats got 450bhp and that was just scary quick lol! thinking about stage 1 first now so I get used to the power hike! although going from stock straight to stage 2 would be so much fun. Thats if Revo get a solution to the new ECU update.

Yeah revo cant map the updated ECU's yet for some reason. that supra sounds crazy! maybe stage 3 will come out this year in the UK, but that would mean changing the turbo....

stage 3 is for wimps. do what Hurdy did ojn his ed30 and add a 100shot of nitrous:whistle:
100shotnitrousRR.jpg

thats a 100hp/100l;bft gain from 3.5k-6k:help: obviously 100hp shots a bit extreme, but maybe a 25shot of nitrous and instead get the 25Hp/25lbft gain from 3-6k. and then its only stressing your engine when you want it to......

bye bye clutch though:D

revo release info in march. realistically id say your looking at 230-235hp. some say more but im more sceptical of figures than most. still in a 1250kg car thats the similar power to weight as 280Hp in a Leon or octavia.

Add DSG and zero lag to to that and id say you would have the legs on it easily
