im sure you can get a de-cat for the 20vt i was looking at one a while back but cant remember if it was milltek.

I thought if you decat a 20vt then the ecu will cause you problems. Also will have to fit the cat back on at MOT times. Plus is there that much difference between a 100 cell cat and no cat?

Quick question what shape of pipe have people got twin jet or ovel pipe?

Can't decide if I like the look of Bunnin's one off. Fits nice and snug under the cupra bumper.

Kept the oval shape to look OEM also, just does fit right on the cupra bumper.

It does fit very nicely, as it follows the curve of the cupra bumper nicely, kinda slash type cut almost.

had my exhaust done today, i bought a seat sport slash cut inwardly rolled, angled oval tail pipe. looks sweet and sounds the nuts on boost. well impressed. just wonder how different the milltek sounds compared to my mufflerectomy system.

Hi all, spoke to Jabba today and they think if i get downpipe and de-cat or sports cat i will be loosing boost and therefore loosing power they quoted 160is for the downpipe and de-cat + itting, so i have decided to take there advice and save my money although he did say car's that have had it done sound like evo's hahaha i did like that bit. so decided to keep the money and put it towards a fmic and clutch although they also said forge fmic wasn't ideal and said with a few of the cars they have said it sometimes has a negative effect and would be better to stick with my smic and spend the money on a new clutch :s

yep said it would be a waste opf money as i would be loosing power

That was lucky you chatted to Nick from Jabba you would of been rather dissapointed with a decrease in performance.
i forgot to tell you I spoke to Alex form Pro Alloy and they will have a chat with you on thursday about making that prototype, they just want to make sure there is a market for it, you might want to start a feeler post and see what interest you get.

you say that but they have proven that they really do car about their customers by telling Mike not to get the full system, that would of been a easy sale i think they are speaking from experience, as they say they have had a few cars with the forge FMIC and have seen different results from there recommended pro alloy intercoolers. when i dropped my car off to pro alloy on Tuesday i was chatting away with the guys there and the know their stuff and their cars are lush they have a Vx220 and a elise both running over 300bhp

I have a full non res system and I have not had any loss of boost. Vag com boost logs can prove this!

funny that jabba would say that it can have negative effects and miss out on the money, maybe its just a precaution that it may have this effect, i have heard a full exhaust system can damage the turbo on a TDi. maybe its just hearsay if your happy thats all that counts i guess

thing is like steve has said it would have been in their best intrests for me to buy the downpipe and de-cat so i do feel some degree of trust towards the guys there i know obviously they wern't going to reccomend forge fmic but at the same time when enquireing about exhaust i mentioned to him that i am looking at the possibility of getting a blueflame exhaust (which they don't sell) and he said to me ohh ok there exhaust and milteks exhausts are quite similar see which you can get the cheapest? in the end i went with jabbas miltek because i didnt fancy driving to liverpool to get a blueflame but for them to not slag off blueflame just to get a sale i think shows something, to be honest i reccomend jabba to anyone i meet/see/know bcause i honestly belive they are honest in their advice which i think is very important
