misfire

my car starts up fine and runs fine on choke, once choke is off the car runs on 3 cylinders. its had 4 new plugs and coil packs still does it. any ideas?

check the wiring to the coils and they they are pushed on properly

any eml's...going to be the same answer as most people give but.....vag-com and check coilpacks etc etc the most common thing on missfire. Are they genuine ones aswell..??

you sure you have correct plugs in. And agree are they genuine coil packs?

I had it plugged in because the engine management light came on because i disconnected the n249. pluged it back in and cleared the fault it then started misfiring. I dont think there genuine coil packs there off ebay and yeah its got the right plugs in.

I didn't buy geniune and it made no difference to me, they have worked fine and been on the car 6 months now. (well they were the same make as genuine ones but from euro car parts)

you could always try it mate, if i was you i'd go out and just push the wires that go into the connectors for the coilpacks in a little bit just to make sure they are making a good connection (that's what i did when i had the same problem as you and it cured it)

The car seems to be running alright now. i wiggled the wires on the plugs and its not misfiring anymore. Thanks alot for all your help

Glad it's fixed for you pal! you see sometimes it costs nothing to fix you car!! (rare i know )
