I spoke to the guy on the haynes stand at the autosprt show in janurary, he seemed to think there should be one within the next 12 months but I think there has to be a certain number of the cars sold before it warrants a manual as such...

I use the haynes manual for the polo. It's exactly the same apart from some of the body parts and some of the bits on the cupras.

Just picked up a manual for the polo tonight, and it all seems identical to the ibiza (except for some interior trim). There arnt many wiring diagrams, only for somple stuff such as central locking, interiour lighting ect. Worth a buy if you can pick one up cheap. Itll give me a bit of bedtime reading for a while anyway!

there isnt one made as the associated costs with creating a haynes manual dont tie up with the demand for one. However there are workshop manuals kicking about for I remember, some on-line new fangled thing, ETKA will explain most you need to know anyway, as it give you exploded diagrams that can easily be deciphered

I have a fabia one I'm assuming that's the same? Last car was fabia got written off.

I originally bought a Fabia one for the Polo as I could not wait - then bought the Polo one. I'd "guess" that having looked at both, the Polo one will be closer to the Ibiza than the Fabia one - but there will not be much in it other than the Polo one should be more up to date than the Fabia one.

...I only want one of the manuals for the wiring really...

If you only want a circuit diagram for a particular area and have a good relationship with a local SEAT dealer they may be prepared to print out a copy for you. I needed a circuit diagram for the central locking on a Mk. III Golf once, and my VW garage printed out two diagrams for me FOC.

Failing that, you might want to register on the erWin Online website and pay a flat-rate fee for access to the workshop manuals and circuit diagrams for a limited period. It's not a particularly cheap option. It all depends on how much you value up to date manufacturer's data for the job in mind I guess.

E.g:
One hour access without copyright (only screenshot possible) 4,00 €
One day access incl. copyright (can print) 21,00 €

"...erWin is the Electronic Repair and Workshop Information service from SEAT A.G. for independent garages, vehicle fleets and all other companies which undertake professional level repairs and servicing to SEAT vehicles. erWin also is available to private persons who want to repair their SEAT vehicle themselves..."

Haynes Manual

Hi All,

Anyone got any idea if a Haynes Manual exists for s Mk4 Ibiza? (2002 ->2008?)

I've had a look on the Haynes site & Amazon and can't see anything.

I had one for my old Mk1 Ibiza.

If they don't exist, is there another manual anyone can recommend?

Cheers in advance

Tom
