I was gonna chop the springs today, but the fuel tank decided it wanted to spring a leak, so thought better of creating many sparks :)

I'll hopefully get it done tomorrow, but I need another 2 tyres, and 155/55/14 aint easy to get hold of

Now the petrol has stopped leaking, and the fumes have vanished I've had half an hour with the angle grinder. Cut 1 coil out of the spring to start with, but it didnt drop it that much, so off came another coil.

I think 1 more coil will have to be cut out, for it to sit level with the rear end. But I'm gonna leave it like this for now, untill I get 2 more tyres on the P-slots, then I can judge the height better.

Just turned the old girl round so I can chop the other front spring down. Pretty sure Im gonna end up chopping 4 coils from each side, front still looks too high with 2 cut out

Well 3 coils cut from the spring and I still think its gonna be sitting too high on the front
Will see what its like when I get a P-Slot on there, as they stick out more than the standard wheel, but think it might need a 4th coil cutting out, but thats gonna give me feck all ground clearance

Instead of cutting the springs mount thread of Golf 2/3 to the front.

I'd looked into fitting these http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/produc...cts_id=3450&osCsid=i0ss1cold10h1h0uh51nrbsop2, but the cost involved just isn't worth it, plus it needed lowering by over 100mm to sit anywhere near where I want it. The car wont be a daily drive, and will only go to 1 or 2 shows a year.

I've looked on 021a.pl a few times, but my poilish is limited to a couple of swear words :)

Nice to see other 021a's out there, very few of these left on the roads in the Uk, most have rotted away and been crushed

To replace the Ibiza thresholds and caps, plastic version of the facelift. Good measure of the tailgate under the license plate, a large dart over the rear window, rear lights on the facelift. Bumpers do in the style of classic Ibiza SXi

These changes will give a big impact ;)
If you are interested in any modifications to the engine, suspension, brakes and other things to help you write ;)

The engine will stay standard until it blows up, then it will be swapped for a R32 engine, and the suspension and brakes will then be uprated to match.

I quite like the black headlights, and I will be smoothing the bumpers and painting them gloss black, maybe with the SXi double red lines. Will also have a centre exit exhaust made up

I had thought about doing that Jordan lol

A friend of a freind put 1 in his mk1 golf this year, some of you may have seen it at edition and a few other shows.

Engine bay is pretty much the same in the ibiza as the golf, so should fit just as well as this
