Hi all newish on here had a couple of previous vags so know quite a bit about them now. Had an Ibiza Cupra 20vt 180 & Bora Sport TDi 130.

Got offered this Seat Leon Cupra cheap and decided as I'm not doing much mileage anymore to buy it and get a few trackdays done in it.
Will mainly be looking to make the car faster & handle better just trying to make it a fast road car rather than a warm hot hatch.

1st day I picked the car up, it's never going to be a show car and tbh I'm not one to spend 4-5 hours cleaning a car so excuse any dirty paintwork..

Straight away I did the N249 & N112 bypass as per a guide I followed on here, and whilst under the bonnet I also fitted a RamAir intake kit with heatshield.

Once I'd done this I then decided to get the car sitting lower so was looking into lowering springs when a set of nearly new Eibach Sportline 50/30 springs came up for sale locally at less than half I would've been paying so I snapped them up & fitted straight away..

I also then had a dyno day coming up, and I decided to make my own decat pipe hoping for a bit of extra power..

I was a bit worried with this graph as it seems all over the place but after asking about in a few places it seems it's some sort of torque system which some 20vt have.. but the good news is it's not permanent and can be mapped out.. So that's my excuse

And a shot on the way home, was a convoy of about 5-6 of me and friends on the way home so was a good day out.

Not much progress since I last posted, just prepping the car for mapping so fitting the supporting mods..

Firstly was the Turbo Intake Pipe which I picked up from Matt, looks a lot nicer flowing than the oem kinked pipe

Then I purchased some Cupra R Ronal 18" wheels..

Then I fitted some new plugs as the previous owner had lost the history so the age of the originals was unknown. Opted for NGK BKR-7E which are well rated on most forums...

Whilst I was doing this also fitted a Forge SAI blanking plate which I picked up from Graeme at GNJ Motorsport..

Next up was a milltek non resonated cat back with a 3" decat downpipe..

Also simplified the vac system more and deleted the carbon canister and next up is the PCV system and fit an oil catch can.

Also next mod is to purchase some pipework and pipe up my intercooler, I've had the bumper and done some chopping and measurements for brackets so just waiting on pipework now

And here's what I'm planning with front bumper, holes for intercooler where reg plate would be and a stick on plate on the N/S of the bumper...

Basically what I want to do to my cupra r just your doing it loads quicker lol. Damn I wish I had more free time lol.
 
Tbh mate I wish I'd of bought a Cupra R will need to upgrade the turbo if I get bored that's in the space of about 2 months that last post

To be fair the only reason I got the lcr over the cupra os that I prefer the looms and wanted the brembos. I did look at cupras and even considered a mk1 octavia vrs but would have ended up with upgrades going on anyway so thought balls to it and went the whole hog.

Yeah the brakes and the turbo were the main reasons I wanted an LCR but I bought the Cupra for like the 6th of the price of a good LCR so thought hell with it and bought it, it's a good car for the money touch wood just lacking power but I'm on with that lol

Thanks mate it's coming along now, I get bored of cars very easily so keep on adding bits and messing with bits to keep me entertained lol.

Very nice, I had these seat fitted in my LC for a while, but the were really worn and looked shite so I binned them and put the standard ones back in.

I am on the look out for a good set of MK4 Recaros though.
 
I have the blue recaros in mine loads more support than standard Lc seats I've had mine 3 years now and the driver seat is now showing signs of wear lol
 
Intercooler installed now, just need some 19mm hose for my catch can and then I'll be remap ready

Cheers guys, not much progress atm just deciding where to get it remapped and still waiting for all the catch can fitting parts to arrive, will get some pics when I install it took some pics today at the park after walking the dog of how it currently looks ..
