Can vagcom change the radio code?

As i went into the radio menu and checked it, which the aura said "diag" then it gave you an option to recode, just thaught you possibly could?

4.12 Can I use VAG-COM to retrieve my Radio Code to get it out of "SAFE" mode?

No, You'll need to get the radio code from your dealer (it should also be on a card that came with your car). Most likely, the dealer will need to connect their scan tool to your vehicle. Their tool then relays information from the vehicle to the headquarters to retrieve the radio code. VAG-COM cannot retrieve the radio code for you. In many cases, the radio will be in SAFE mode after disconnecting the battery, but it will automatically exit that mode after a period of time, as long as it is still installed in the same vehicle.

remove your radio and write down the 14 digit serial number (normally begining with 'SEZ______') and write down your chassis number (can be found on the bottom right hand side of your windscreen and is 17 digits long and begins with 'VSSZZZ___________'), this is all a dealer will need to get your code. phone them up and you should have your code within a day, or drop in to your local dealer and they'll do it there and then for a small charge.
