Does the mk2 gti come with a boot light as standard?

Im just wondering as i have a cable in the boot of my 1.4 that looks like it could be plugged into a light or something.

so as my 1.4 doesn't have a boot light i was going to get a boot light into my car.

Well thats where the cable is that ive found. Its just by the seat belt etc and is just above where the carpet finishes.

My valver did, and so did my polo so just have a wonder round some scrappies and steal your self a ibiza/golf/polo boot light. They are very useful as well

Thats what i was planning to do. I just wanted to make sure before it became a wasted journey to the scrappies.
