Not too much to worry about then mate ... both arches are sound are they, you sanded and re-painted the insides though didn't you iirc?

I'd / I will personally go for the 8v, when I get round to buying one soon ...

Yeah the arches are sound, stripped them out, rust treated, hammerite and waxoyl.

Its pretty sturdy for a 12 year old motor, I'm probably over critical of it because its mine!

Must be something about the white ones. The arches on my 1.4 are alright aswell. Little bit of rust on the lips but nothing under the arch liners etc.

Well its in for its mot

Gave it a propper Italian tune up on the way there, never driven it like that before! Have to say at some points it felt like my old valver did. Screamed past 30 in first and 60 in second!

Small update today, being as i don't have 16v's i thought i'd pop another sticker on the rear quaters instead...

Its hibernating for the winter now, it'll get a thorough clean and some tlc while its away too.

Sent the tax back for refund today and i'm driving the 323 until march.

6 months and it will be a mint low mileage MK2
