I've had my '97 Cupra Sport 8v from new.

The usual problem of rusty rear wheelarches has now got so bad I need to do something about it.

Are there any repair panels on the market?

I had a good chat with my garage (good old-fashioned type of country garage - they even have an old guy who can still do lead-filling).
It seems to be quite a tricky job, as the rear wing is double-skinned & has an inner lip. Fabricating a repair panel will take a bit of time, although they reckoned it could be done, it would be a lot easier if there was some sort of patch panel with a few inches of wheelarch & an inner lip.

Short of fitting complete new rear wings, or cutting the arches from new wings, I can't find anywhere selling something suitable.

I have noticed many other Mk2 Ibizas with rusty arches, so I assume this is a common repair. It's the only major rust on the car, despite having only one not-very-careful owner

its an old trick that once was used for montego's but how about using an old front wing ???

I did that trick on my dad's Renault 12 (showing my age now!)

It's just a problem of finding something with the right-shaped curve & lip that isn't already rusty. The Seat front wing is slightly flared, so would be the wrong shape.
