Just fitted the powerflex insert that came with my Milltek downpipe, what a bitch! You'd think looking at it it'd be a piece of piss but took nearly 2 hours to get the little f?@£$er in! The grease that came with was useless, ended up using Mr Sheen in the end but still took ages....... Better now though, but still have wheel hop, I think this is a byproduct of the sportlines being softer than std springs and allowing the strut to top out too easily, maybe better dampers/WALK kit will sort it?

Looking at it I reckon the density line mount that Zboyd has looks the best value, having said that mine is solid now with the powerflex insert, just takes about the same time to fit!

Minimal, just a little just off idle then you don't notice it, if you want noise, get a solid (metal) one like Rob's! Don't know about the fast road ones, Mark?

Right, fitted this about 20mins ago. The bush doesn't sit totaly flush but is in as far as it would go and is torqued to 74lb/ft. Anyone with one fitted notice if its its totaly flush? It was a bugger getting it in andI don't think it canphysically go in any further. The car was starting to move up when I used the jack on the 4 poster to push the bush in. :headhurt:

Doesn't seem noticably different to drive and not had a chance to check for wheel hop....yet. Was only a 10min drive back form work though. Clutch feels bit smother when taking off.

EDIT - Looking at this it seems mine is ok. http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edoc/mk5insertinstructions.pdf

Just went out a drive. Gear changes smoother, changing down smoother. Pulling away...smoother.That juddering when reversing slowly or riding the clutch abit...gone. Didn't want to give it too much stick when just fitted earlier but have now and its better than before. Just hope the wheel hops gone when the roads get wet/greasy.

Glad I bought it...yes.[B)]

Got this fast road spec Density Line dogbone mount from Issam last year, seems to do the job very well.

There is some cabin vibration upon set-off but it stops once under motion, vastly reduced wheel hop and engine movement over OEM.

I want to get the other engine mounts this year also to improve it further.

Density line on the left, OEM one on the right.

Hi mate, when you ordered this, did you get one or two of these mounts through the post?

Two, one fits on each side of the sub-frame

Alright thanks, btw just for reference the THS mounts and density line mounts appear to be 100% identical, probably same manufacturer, or THS is just rebranding the density line ones.

Definetly a worth while mod. Just the insert on mine made a difference to the gear change and pulling away. I don't notice much vibration with it either. The cars much smoother.
