MK2 Springs on MK3

Hey guys n gals!

I wz wonderin if i cud pik ya brains 4 a bit.

Iv gota mk2 2.0 8v GTI Cupra Sport which is lowered around 40mm(ish) n im about 2 put coilovers on it.
My m8z girlfriend wants me 2 fit the lowering springs on her mk3 1.8T Cupra but she wants 2 keep her shocks as they r obviously newer n in beta condition.

My question is, will the springs swap straight over?

I know about the tops needin changin if i wz 2 use the shocks 2 but im not. just the springs.

The mk3 springs are wider so no they won't fit
