Hi All.
Got my Cupra 280 64 plate a few months ago and am LOVING IT!
One thing that has puzzled me is the rear spoiler. The car has numerous factory fitted sports trim but the rear spoiler is,well, not really a spoiler at all!
Can any of you kind ladies and gents point me in the direction of a decent spoiler that actually LOOKS like one?
Not after any "fast and furious" gull wing monstrosities but maybe similar size, shape to Fiesta ST?
Thank you kindly

Cheers for reply Damo.As you can see - its very small. What one is it?
Where do I get a more aggressive one. What do other members have?
Dont mind if its not official SEAT spoiler due to ££££

That’s not even a spoiler, that’s the normal boot lid. You say you bought a Cupra 280? Did it have any crash damage declared as I thought all Cupra’s came with the same spoiler. Even the 265.

Just done a quick google.

Either your car has had a new boot, or it’s a 265 badged as a 280, the red car is the 265, the grey the 280.

WOW - I am suddenly worried!
I brought it from a large and well known vauxhall franchise.Immaculate condition with FSH and only 9k on clock.Nothing to suggest it had been in an accident.Any way to tell?
Could the original owner owner decided he didnt want spoiler direct from factory?
How could I tell if its a 265 or 280?
I brought it as a 280

What does your V5 say? I’m sure the 265 was just called a Cupra and the 280 has 280 on it.

Early 280’s didn’t have the 280 badge, but if it has it they could be bought.

265’s only had 18” wheels, and I don’t think the brakes had CUPRA on them.

This has pictures of both...

Right, from what I can find exterior wise.

265 didn't have a spoiler. Doesn’t have CUPRA written on the front brake callipers. Only has body colour wing mirrors. 18” wheels. No 280 badge on the boot. Only available in 3 door.

Most of that stuff can be bought though. Even the CUPRA on the brake callipers is just an insert.

Not sure what differences the interior has.

So I guess its a 265 as no CUPRA on callipers.Want to phone dealership but as I havent got a copy of the original ad I dont see much point.
No proof!

Certainly sounds like a 265. The ones I’ve seen have been less sporty looking as stock apart from the fact they’ve been coupes

Sounds like you’ve already done similar
My old reg shows as a 280
My current reg as a 290
I’m sure yours will be confirmed as a 265

Dumb question but is the 265 power not 265 hp whilst the 280 is 260 KW - 280 hp so if you do a check on the vin number it should tell you what the power output is. Obviously the what they sold the car as is a different story.
