OK, so the exhaust is fitted. My first impressions........... awesome!!!!! The guys that fitted it looks like they have done it properly as it isn't wonky, an it sticks out exactly how I wanted it to and it is the perfect height, meaning I don't have to cut any more of the bumper apron, as the 15mm I did last night was enough. The idling noise has a little more deep burble and I love it and its probably the placebo effect but I'm sure it even pulls a little better. One
problem I had was that when I first got in the car to drive it away, I put it into reverse and reversed of the bump and I hear "conk" "conk", and I was like
. But then I drove it down the road for about 2 mins and the exhaust seems to have stop hitting whatever it was hitting. Maybe it just needed to settle into the rubber mounts. Anyways, now it only slightly hits when I go over a big bump. If it does that again, or if I find its hitting "conking" on the motorway, then I'll take it back to have it looked at, but as I said now it only does it only over major bumps.
Anyway, here are the photos. Excuse the filthy car and exhaust but have you seen the weather outside??
Anyways, the look and idling sound are absolutely spot on. They charged me £35 for fitting but then again my old exhaust had the joints rusted together and all the bolts needed replacing, so it isn't the end of the world. All together it means my exhaust system cost £75 fitted which I recon is still a bargain.
Enough mumbling, here are the photos (its the photos that are wonky, not the car
):
