the rears are the same as on the 8v, 16v and the mk3 cupra`s, but yes you are right you will need the stubs of the mk3 as the bearing set up is different
the only reason i went for the mk3 set up was that it was there when i needed it. the only thing different is the bearing set up like i say so whether its any better than the mk2`s, im not sure!
From what I have read around the net, the main problem with the calipers is the handbrake mechanism in the caliper itself is prone to seizing, but the caliper mechanism was changed for the Mk4 platform.
